"How many times have we asked ourselves how charitable institutions survive the more difficult times, such as Portugal is now going through, with so many needs to reach their objectives? At moments like these we also reflect that the sum of many small donations could make a big difference in contributing to these causes. The Porto Bay Group, by making the first deposit, wants to pass along to its guests the message “all of us working together will be a strong force in supporting worthy causes”

Porto Bay Hotels & Resorts opened a “Small Gestures, Big Hopes” account in August 2012 with an initial deposit of 10 thousand euros. Together, we'll be stronger! We're counting on your help in this cause… The amount of 1 euro will automatically be added to your bill. Should you disagree, please let the reception desk know, preferably before check-out. If you would like to increase the amount of your donation, please advise reception.

Gives support to young people and adults with cerebral palsy or similar neurological diseases. They care for almost 100 individuals as inpatients or in occupational activities.

Porto Bay delivers donations in Algarve
Porto Bay Hotels & Resorts delivered yesterday at the Porto Bay Falesia, a total donation of 9132 euros, divided by two charities in the Algarve. The amount collected results campaign Harbour Bay HOPE-Small Gestures, Big Hopes. The beneficiary institutions are AHSA (Humanitarian Solidarity Association of Albufeira) and APEXA (Association of Persons Exceptional Algarve).
Porto Bay delivers donations in Madeira
to Liga Portuguesa Contra o Cancro & to APCM
The first amounts were presented at the Porto Mare Hotel,to Madeira's charitable associations – the Portuguese Cancer League (Madeira Delegation) and the Cerebral Palsy Association of Madeira, a total of 13,556 €.
Launched in August 2012 at all of the hotels of the Porto Bay Group in Portugal – Madeira and Algarve, the “HOPE - Small Gestures, Big Hopes” campaign started with an initial deposit of 10,000 € from the Porto Bay Group. Guests were invited to join in by donating 1 Euro per stay.
